Building your capacity is your responsibility. You got this but it will take work and you being open. We are often pouring into containers or strainers, which one do you have?

In this episode we talk about the importance of understanding how we develop as human beings, what this means for our children and how we create a better environment and way of being for them. This is about what we are doing as adults. Great quote by Dawud Ramaah, "We all don't make it to be adults, but we all get a chance to be children". 

Today I opened up about what I have learned about myself and playing the humble card. Sometimes our humility is a mask for safety, meaning not embracing our gifts and the things we have worked on to get to this point in time. When we downplay our gifts and growth, we downplay God, and we inadvertently send the message that others can grow without the consistency, discipline and work it takes for growth and success. We discuss why our children are having so many issues and it is not just about parenting, it is about adulting and offering direction and guidance. Every season tells us something about ourselves, they are maps to manifestations and maximizing our time and gifts. Trick is to remain open, and only then can we hear and see it all. Just as we know in farming, there is a time for planning, for planting, for cultivating, for pruning and for resting. So is life for us. If we plant during the wrong time, we will not produce crops. If we harvest the crops too soon or too late, we will not maximize our crops. This is about awareness and understanding it is all important and all necessary.

Too often we miss the small windows of opportunity because we have not done the internal work, and then the window closes. We look at others that seem to have these large doors while we have small windows. It is a matter of appreciation and acceptance, because what we wish we had we often do, we just miss it because we have judged the moment rather than embraced it. We miss the learning and the window is gone.

That thing that makes you feel connected, understand it, and learn to apply it to everyone and everything. The trick is to remain open, especially when you feel like closing. Yes, this will require work on your part, there is no easy route, only the route. You got this, if you want it

Love yourself no matter what. Love is about being open and inclusive, it asks for nothing and gives everything. It is about capacity, what is your cup filled with? Love is enough, you are enough. You never need back what you have plenty of. 

Dawud and I talk about how to set yourself up for the abundance that is sitting right in front of your face. It's not that your prayers are going unanswered, or that your positive mindset is not working. Abundance is not to be chased or sought, it is a result of being open and choosing to embrace all that is you in love, not just the parts that you think others would approve of or that you like. It's embracing it all as the greatest gift, because you are, the greatest gift, as is.
